TEHRAN (FNA)- Lieutenant Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Brigadier General Hossein Salami underlined that the US has joined the club of politically bankrupt states.
"The scene of action shows that the US has joined the club of politically bankrupts," General Salami said, addressing a conference titled Martyred University Students in Ardebil province, Northwestern Iran, on Saturday.

The IRGC commander reiterated that Iran's defensive and deterrent power is so powerful that none of the major military powers dares to pose a threat to the country even in its dreams because "we have learned that we can stand up and make progress...".

"We have missiles that can destroy Iran's specified targets after traveling thousands of kilometers and we have radars that can monitor all satellites in the space," General Salami said.

He noted that the westerners and the US have exhausted all their possible capacities and power against Iran's Islamic Revolution, "but we have managed to change this balance of power in favor of the Muslims of the region".

He described the US as the main cause of the backwardness of the countries and nations of the world, and said, "There is no Muslim country in the world whose youth, elites and national assets haven't been killed by the US weapons."

On Wednesday, IRGC Commander Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said the different plots hatched by the enemies against Iran have all failed and the US is now facing a strategic deadlock against Iran.

"Today, the Americans are in a strategic dead-end and have experienced all possible options and strategies against the Islamic Revolution, but couldnt attain their desired goals," Jafari said, addressing a meeting of the Armed Forces' supreme policy-making board in Tehran.

"The US capabilities can no more be expanded and their capacities for initiating a change have reached the level of saturation, meaning that the US is left with no more option but admitting the Islamic Republic of Iran's real power," he added.

Jafari pointed to the nuclear talks between Iran and the world powers, including the US, and said Iran has reached a reliable level of deterrence power, and its strong diplomacy in the nuclear talks is the result of the Islamic Revolution's aspirations and the country's security and defensive power and might.
