Iran 9-month non-oil exports hit $31bn

TEHRAN Dec 07 (Shana)--Iran's non-oil exports has hit $31 billion, up 20% year-on-year, since the beginning of the current calendar year to March 21 2014, head of Iran's Customs Administration said.
Addressing a press conference here in Tehran on Saturday, Massoud Karbasian said the country has imported 34 billion dollars' worth of goods during the period as well.
He said the numbers are drawn from the new customs system adopted in the administration to facilitate the country's foreign trade.
Karbasian said more than 90% of the country's transactions are covered by the electronic system and hoped that all the work in the customs will be done electronically in the near future.
