Afghan official in Tehran for talks on refugees

Tehran, Dec 6, IRNA – Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Afghanistan Mohammad Mohaqiq leading a delegation arrived in Tehran on Saturday on a three-day official visit.
 Upon arrival, the Afghan delegation was received by Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia-Pacific Ebrahim Rahimpour.

The Afghan envoy is to submit separate messages from the country’s President Ashraf Ghanias and Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah to Iranian officials on the status of Afghan nationals residing in Iran.

The aim of the visit to Tehran the Afghan delegations is to explore avenues for return of Afghan refugees and making use of international assistance for this purpose.
