Human rights official blames US for crises in Middle East

Tehran, Dec 5, IRNA Secretary of Iran's Human Rights Council Mohammad Javad Larijani blamed the wrong policies of the US and its allies for the current human catastrophic situation in the region caused by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) terrorist group.
'I should say that this human crisis is the outcome of the failed policies of the US and a number of its allies in the region,' Larijani said on Friday.
Larijani, meantime, declined to confirm the US reports that Iran had carried out airstrikes against the ISIL's positions in Iraq, and said, 'We do not endorse this claim by the Pentagon,' he said.

He strongly criticized the US policies for trying to replace the democratically-elected government of Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad with the merciless ISIL forces, and said, 'They supported and armed the terrorist groups instead of supporting a democratically-elected government.'
