Lebanese Speaker hopes Iran, G5+1 to reach final accord

Beirut, Dec 1, IRNA Lebanese parliament speaker Nabih Berri on Monday hoped that Iran and the G5+1 will reach final agreement.
Speaking to Advisor to Majlis Speaker on International Affairs, Hossein Sheikholeslam, in Beirut, Berri said all regional states, including Lebanon will benefit from nuclear accord between Iran and the G5+1.
In the meeting which was held in presence of Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad Fathali, the Lebanese top parliamentarian said terrorism is a danger which threatens all regional and world states and cooperation and solidarity among all countries of the region and the world is necessary to fight the ominious phenomenon.

The Lebanese official called for expansion of relations and cooperation between Iran and Lebanon, especially between their parliaments, to advance the mutual and regional goals.

Berri and Sheikholeslam discussed Iran-Lebanon ties and regional developments.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Sheikholeslam said that he held fruitful consultations with the senior officials of the friendly nation, Lebanon.

Sheikholeslam said that the Lebanese Speaker has strong role in the Arab and Muslim world.

'It is not hidden to anybody that the region is now under much pressure but thank God, we have been able to gain strategic and decisive victories. That's for several years the plots are hatched against Syrian government and nation. Certain power centers, led by the US, France, the UK, and unfortunately, certain kings and heads of a number of regional states, do their best to topple Syrian legitimate government but have not yet been able to materialize the objective.'

He said the Islamic Republic of Iran has since eruption of crisis in Syria been insisting that conditions should be prepared for Syrian people to take part in a free and transparent elections and decide their own fate democratically and fortunately, the elections were held as the first step forward to democracy.

Sheikholeslam blamed Tel Aviv regime for encouraging terrorism against the Syrian government and the savage and criminal war on Gaza to disarm the Palestine resistance movement , but to no avail.

Sheikholeslam said that the Israeli occupying regime perpetrated genocide and crimes against humanity in Gaza and that the Arab and Muslim World must speed up their campaign against the Zionist regime to liberate the occupied territories of Palestine.
