TEHRAN Dec 01 (Shana)–The second train of the refinery of Phases 17&18 of South Pars gas field is to become operational by February next year, managing-director of Pars Oil and Gas Company said.
The third and fourth trains are hoped to come online late next year.
The flare of Platform 18A has been turned on and the conditions are ripe for supplying gas from this platform to the refineries of phases 15&16. This platform is capable of producing 14 mcm/d of gas.
Phases 17&18 of South Pars are under development to produce 50 mcm/d of natural gas, 80,000 b/d of gas condensate, 400 tons a day of sulfur, 1 million tons a year of ethane and 1.05 million tons a year of liquefied gas.
