TEHRAN (Tasnim) The Iranian Navy's Industrial Research and Self-Sufficiency Jihad Organization on Wednesday unveiled three new homegrown naval products, including a new radar system.
In a special ceremony, the Iranian Navy unveiled a new domestically-made SX-Band navigation radar system which has been specifically designed to prevent radio transmission disorders.
Irans Army Lieutenant Commander Brigadier General Abdolrahim Mousavi, Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari and Head of the Industrial Research and Self-Sufficiency Jihad Organization Rear Admiral Ali Gholamzade were among the high-ranking commanders taking part in the event.
The Samen Project which is the countrys first sea-based air and surface fire control system as well as the Shahid Mehrpour Project, an advanced naval simulator to train Iranian divers to come out of the Midget submarines, were also unveiled during the ceremony.
In recent years, the Islamic Republic of Iran has made great achievements in its defense sector and has attained self-sufficiency in producing essential military equipment and systems.
Tehran has repeatedly assured other nations that its military might poses no threat to other countries, saying that the Islamic Republics defense doctrine is entirely based on deterrence.
