Karaj, Nov 24, IRNA - Chairman of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Borujerdi said on Monday that peaceful nuclear program is national asset and the Iranian people will never overlook the nuclear rights enshrined by Non-Proliferation Treaty.
He made the remarks in his statement to a group of university students in Karaj.
He said the Islamic Iran has proved to the world that it never seeks to misuse nuclear science and has made no diversion, a reference to repetitive reports of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Resistance of Iranian people to global powers during nuclear talks indicates the Iranian strength and authority, Borujerdi said.

He said that status of Iran differs with ten years ago thanks to the country's authority and the popular support.

Some say that the resistance of Iranian nation led to toughening of economic sanctions and created economic problems but the question is whether there is guarantee that adopting another approach would have been useful, Borujerid asked.

The experience indicated that the US avarice has no limits and in case Iran gives up its legitimate right it should withdraw from its legitimate stand in other areas subsequently, he said.

Borujerdi said that resistance is regarded as the most important strategy to serve the goals of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The unified Iranian nation under wise leadership of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution would successfully defend its legitimate rights against the US, he said.

The US should understand that the revolutionary people of Iran under no circumstances will give up their legitimate rights in using peaceful nuclear energy and will enthusiastically welcome all problems and economic sanctions to materialize their goal, he said.
