Tehran, Nov 24, IRNA – Iran and China underlined the need to further expand cooperation in the oil sector.
In a meeting with Zhou Jiping, head of China’s National Petroleum Company (CNPC), Iran’s Envoy to China Ali Asghar Khaji conferred on the above stated issue in the Chinese capital of Beijing on Saturday.
Both parties explored avenues to bolster bilateral energy ties.
Meanwhile Khaji called on relevant officials and bodies to pave the way for optimization of economic opportunities with Beijing.
Addressing a gathering at the Iranian Embassy in Beijing, Khaji said good potentials exist in both countries which provides opportunities for further cooperation. The two countries also share historical ties.
