Agreement on Iranian nuclear issue has to be reached 'sooner or later', the head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization Ali Akbar Salehi believes.
VIENNA, November 22 (Sputnik) Agreement onIranian nuclear program will be reached 'sooner or later', the head ofIran's Atomic Energy Organization Ali Akbar Salehi was quoted assaying bythe Iranian Nuclear Energy agency Saturday.
"Former FM, Incumbent Atomic Chief Salehi says nuclear agreement betweenIran, P5+1 will be reached 'sooner or later'," Iranian Nuclear Energy agency wrote onits twitter.
In the meantime, media is giving conflicting reports aboutthe possibility oftalks' extension, asdelegations doubt an agreement could be reached bythe November 24 deadline.
A source inthe Iranian delegation told Sputnik he had no information aboutthat, so did another source ina European negotiating team.
The West is accusing Iran ofdeveloping nuclear weapons, while Tehran has repeatedly denied these claims stressing the peaceful character ofits nuclear program aimed atmeeting the country's growing energy needs.
The final roundof talks onthe Iranian nuclear program betweenTehran and the P5+1 group ofinternational negotiators, which comprises Russia, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, China and Germany, began inVienna Tuesday. The deadline toreach an agreement onthe issue was set forNovember 24.
