Iran, US, EU hold trilateral talks in Vienna

Vienna, Nov 20, IRNA - Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, the EU nuclear coordinator Catherine Ashton and US senior diplomat William Burns held trilateral talks here on Thursday.

According to Western sources, US Secretary of State John Kerry is likely to arrive in Vienna within hours to join the talks.

The nuclear talks between Iran and members of the G5+1 (US, Britain, Russia, France and China plus Germany) will end on November 24 which is set as the deadline of the talks.

The Western sources said it is possible that the talks would extend. However, sources close to the Iranian negotiating team have dismissed the possibility.

Zarif told reporters upon his arrival in Vienna on November 13 that this is the "last phase"of the nuclear talks.
