New York, Nov 20, IRNA Iran's Ambassador to the United Nations Hossein Dehqani has said campaigning terrorism and extremism is not possible only by words and mottos; rather it needs taking practical measures.
He made the remarks in an address to a UN Security council meeting on behalf of Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) about international cooperation for fighting terrorism and extremism.
Commenting on NAM's stances on the move, he voiced its readiness to collaborate with the council and present guidelines regarding resolution on fight against terrorism.

Deqani also termed the Daesh (ISIS) Takfiri terrorists as a threat to the entire region.

Criticizing countries which only remain content to mottos against the ISIS, with no action to that effect, Dehqani elaborated on Iran's certain measures in the fight against the terrorist group.

Speaking as the president of NAM, Deqani said that the Movement denounces all forms of terrorism and urges the governments to avoid all political, financial aid which contribute to the evil phenomenon.

Iran's envoy to UN further noted that threatening NAM member states under the excuse of countering terrorism and giving refuge to terrorists as well as preventing their extradition contravene the spirit of international cooperation for fighting terrorism.

Expressing concern over increasing threat of terrorism across the world, Dehqani said that terrorists target security of all countries and individuala.
