Russia, Israel exchange views on Irans nuclear deal, Middle East security

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov exchanged the views on Tuesday with the Israeli Foreign Ministry's Deputy Director General Jeremy Issaharov on the Middle East security and Iranian nuclear program, following the final round of talks in Vienna.


MOSCOW, November 18 (Sputnik)RussianDeputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov held consultations onTuesday withthe Israeli Foreign Ministry's Deputy Director General Jeremy Issaharov onthe Middle East security and onthenuclear programofIran.

"The parties thoroughly exchanged the views onthe issues ofsecurity inthe Middle East. Special attention was paid tothe settlement ofthe situation pertaining tothe Iranian nuclear program inthe context ofthe regular full-scale roundof talks ofsix international mediators withIrantobe held onNovember 18-24 inVienna," the Russian Foreign Ministry said ina statement published onits website.

On Tuesday, the so-calledP5+1(Russia, the United States, China, the United Kingdom, France and Germany) and Iran started the final roundof talks onIran's nuclear program, which is expected tosee the sides, agreeing ona comprehensive nuclear deal.

The permanent deal should be reached byNovember 24, though it is not yet clear whether or not the six powers will be able tofind an agreement withIran.
