Senior Russian MP pleased with outcomes of Iran visit

TEHRAN (FNA)- Chairman of the Russian Duma's International Affairs Commission Alexei Pushkov voiced satisfaction in the fruitful meetings of the Duma delegation with Iranian officials, and emphasized the need for both Tehran and Moscow to continue this productive trend.
Pushkov, who accompanied Duma Speaker Sergei Narishkin in his Tehran visit, told reporters in Moscow on Monday afternoon that Tehran visit was a success for both sides.

He added both sides underlined the importance of joint efforts to confront terrorism, especially the ISIL.

Pushkov also referred to expansion of cooperation between Iran and Russia and said that the two sides underlined necessity of expansion of economic cooperation and commercial exchange.

He continued that Iran, Russia and many other counties are dissatisfied with decline of oil price.

Pushkov said that Iran, as a member of OPEC, cannot decrease its oil production unilaterally, but can proposes the issue in the organization.

In the last several years, Iran and Russia have had vast cooperation in different fields, specially in political and economic spheres.

The two states also enjoy special positions on the international scene and have long had constant and regular consultations on key regional and global issues.
