Iran home to world's most leading crafts: Japanese official

TEHRAN, Nov. 17 (MNA) First secretary of the Embassy of Japan said that Japanese people believe Iran has the most leading crafts in the world.
Isfahan Office of Public Relations and Cultural Heritage reported on Monday that Firstsecretary of theEmbassyofJapan Yoshihito Mitagava visited the directors of Isfahan Organization of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism and said: I have lived in Iran since two years ago and witnessed a dramatic growth in Irans tourism industry since 2012.


Due to the growth of tourism in Iran and establishing travel service centers in Japan, he said, I believe Iran, particularly Isfahan, is considered as one of the main reasons the Japanese travel to Iran."


Yoshihito Mitagava expressed satisfaction with the efforts made to improve tourism in Iran and Isfahan and said the efforts paved the way for the development of tourism in the country.


Pointing to the growth in Japanese tours to Iran and Isfahan, he added that the Japanese and Iranians are interested in tradition and culture.


Thedeputy directorof Iran'sCultural Heritage Investment Hamid Amini stated that the efforts by the Eleventh Government and the Organization of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism resulted in the developments in tourism in the recent year.


After visiting Iran, tourists admitted they had wrong attitudes toward Iran and found this country more secure and Iranian people much more intimate, hospitable, and kinder than they thought, said Hamid Amini, adding that over 20 thousands of monuments and historical crafts are in Isfahan, four of which own the world record.
