Tehran, Nov 14, IRNA – Iran’s gas production capacity will increase by 50 million cubic meters a day next month, an official said here.
Managing Director of Iran National Gas Company Hamid Reza Araqi also said that this will redue the degree of gas supply restrictions to power plants and industries this year.
He noted that Iran’s gas production capacity will grow by 50 million cubic meters to reach a total of 650 million cubic meters a day when phases 12 and 18 of South Pars become operational next month.
This will contribute in cutting gas supply restrictions to power plants and industries nationwide in meeting demands in winter, he said.
He said it will also help reduce reliance on fossil fuels and enhance air pollution controls.
