Sanctions imposed by the West against Iran in connection with its nuclear program will not wield any impact on the country, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said on Wednesday upon the end of Azerbaijani-Iranian summit talks.
He stressed the right of all the developing and developed nations to running peaceful nuclear programs that might help them obtain new technologies.
Rouhani expressed the conviction that the sanctions, which he called a rusty weapon, would not affect his country in any way, as they were an outdated instrument retrieved from the past.
He thanked the Azerbaijani authorities for their support to Iran in the field of nuclear activity for peaceful purposes.
