Iranian, Iraqi VPs stress regional cooperation against ISIL
Tehran, Nov 10, IRNA - First Vice President Es-haq Jahangiri and Iraqi Vice President Nouri al-Maliki in a meeting on Monday stressed enhancement of regional cooperation against Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
Jahangiri praised al-Maliki's resignation as prime minister of Iraq and transfer of power to Heydar Al-Ebadi.
Iran supports Iraq's national unity and sovereignty, he added.

The first vice president noted that the Iraqi people and Army are capable of defeating terrorists.

He criticized certain states' support for terrorist groups despite UN resolution which prohibits supporting ISIL.

US led anti-ISIL collation is not serious in fighting terrorism, Jahangiri said.

Al-Maliki, for his part, welcomed expansion of all out ties with Iran and praised Tehran's support for Baghdad against terrorist groups.

He criticized anti-ISIL coalition's insincere approach and said today various groups of Iraq are united against terrorists.
