Abdollahian: Iraqi Vice President Maliki to arrive in Tehran Sunday

Tehran, Nov 8, IRNA Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian said here Saturday that Iraqi Vice President will begin an official tour of Iran as of tomorrow, Sunday.

The Iraqi vice president will in this visit hold talks with high ranking Iranian officials on issues of mutual interest, the latest conditions in Iraq due to the nuisance of the ISIS terrorists, and the regional developments, especially regarding the campaign against extremism and terrorism, said Amir Abdollahian.


The former Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al Maliki who stepped down on August 14, 2014 aimed at improving the political atmosphere in Iraq in favor of the new Prime Minisiter Haider Al Ibadi was appointed as the Iraqi vice president by new Iraqi President Fouad Al Masoum.
