US-led anti Daesh coalition, a lie: Military commander

Tehran, Nov 8, IRNA – Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Brigadier General Masoud Jazayeri has said that the US-led so-called coalition against the terrorist group of Daesh (ISIS) is a lie as Washington supports Daesh terrorists.

Brigadier General Jazayeri made the remarks referring to US recent support for the terrorist group after it was encircled by Iraqi people and army following moving into the Iraqi northeastern city of Jalula in Diyala Province, some 80 km northeast of the capital Baghdad.

“In a criminal move, US and the so-called coalition forces have sent fresh arms for the surrounded terrorists of Daesh in Jalula,” said the brigadier general noting this was not the first time that US has armed Daesh terrorists.

Even in the first days of formation of the so-called coalition, US had sent weapons for Daesh terrorists, Jazayeri stressed.

During the past couple of days, he said, two large cargos consisting of weapons, ammunitions, food stuff and medicines were airdropped by US for Daesh terrorists in Jalula.

Reports coming from Iraq said that US military aid has effectively helped the terrorists who have been encircled by the Iraqi forces and people.

Jazayeri said that the region is currently in need of public unity and coalition of its independent governments and nations to confront the terrorists, particularly the state-terrorism of US.
