Dy FM hails Syrian government's resistance to terrorism

Tehran, Nov 6, IRNA Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Thursday hailed the Syrian government's resistance to terrorism under leadership of President Bashar al-Assad.
If there weren't the strong resistance of the Syrian government under leadership of President Bashar al-Assad and the support of the Syrian peple to the campaign against Takfiri terrorists, the world would have witnessed dominence of terrorists on Damascus, Amir-Abdollahian said in an exclusive interview with IRNA.
There are no differences in Iranian government hierarchy over helping Syria in its campaign against terrorism and the strategic relations between the two countries, Amir-Abdollahian added.

He confirmed remarks by the Syrian foreign minister about strategic relations between Tehran and Damascus.

The deputy foreign minister said that Tehran and Moscow along with a number of other nations will continue to support Syria.

Amir-Abdollahian reiterated that the governments of Iran and Russia reject any military and security solution to the Syrian crisis and believe that the conflict has to be settled through diplomatic means.
