Qom, Nov 6, IRNA A senior Foreign Ministry official said on Thursday that the Iranian nuclear negotiating team protect the legitimate rights of the Iranian nation and never accept excessive demands by the Western governments.
Qazanfar Roknabadi, an advisor to Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, made the remark at a conference in central province of Qom on the latest developments in West Asia.
"It is a great victory that the Iranian government is powerful enough that world powers have to sit down with representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran and listen to our words," Roknabadi said.

The Foreign Ministry official touched upon the waves of terrorism across Iraq and Syria and descried the US-led coalition to fight Daesh terrorist group as "ridiculous".

Roknabadi questioned the the legal foundations for air strikes on Syria saying that the air strikes carried by the US-led coalition run counter to the International Law.

Daesh fighters are enjoying support from the strong intelligence organizations of the world, Roknabadi argued, saying the US-led anti-Daesh coalition is aimed at dealing a blow to the Iran-led Resistance Front.

The other aim of the coalition, he said, is to weaken Daesh, not to destroy it, so that the US and its Western allies would sell arms to the region in return for money for the oil.
