Iran, Indonesia to expand cooperation on energy
Jakarta, Nov 6, IRNA Visiting Iranian Petrochemical Commercial Company (IPCC) Executive Director Mehdi Sharifi Niknafs and Indonesia minister of energy and mineral resources held talks on Thursday on ways to expand cooperation in field of energy.
Sharifi Niknafs held separate meetings with Indonesia Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Soedirman Said and the country's Trade Minister Rahmat Gobel in Jakarta.
Export of Iran's crude oil to Indonesia and Iran's investment in construction of a refinery there were among the topics discussed between Iranian and Indonesian officials.

Iran plans to build half a dozen oil refineries in the Southeast Asian country of Indonesia.

The total refining capacity of these oil refineries will stand at 300,000 barrels per day, IRNA reported.

Late in January, Iranian and Indonesian officials, in a meeting in Jakarta, underlined the need for the further expansion of mutual cooperation in the field of modern energy resources.

Oil refinery and dam construction and converting refineries fuel from diesel to combined fuel in Indonesia are the areas of Iranian interest.
