Senior Iraqi cleric hails Iran’s Red Crescent Society for rendering medical services to pilgrims

Tehran, Nov 2, IRNA – Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Karbalai, the representative of Grand Ayatollah Sistani on Sunday praised Iran’s Red Crescent Society for rendering services to pilgrims of holy shrines in Iraq.
He made the remarks in a meeting with RCS officials held in the presence of Vice President of Iraq Nouri al-Maliki.

Iran’s Red Crescent Society plays a key role in providing medical support to pilgrims in Iraq, the cleric added.

The Islamic Republic of Iran’s Red Crescent Society has sent several medical teams to the holy city of Karbala.

The teams comprise specialists, nurses and medics who provide the pilgrims in Karbala with medical service.
