TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Tehran's Esteghlal football team was held to a 1-1 draw by Saba in the Iran Professional League(IPL) on Friday.In the match held in Tehrans Azadi Stadium, Sajjad Shahbazzadeh gave Esteghlal the lead in the 72nd minute but Ayyub Kalantari equalized the match five minutes later.
IPL leader Tractor Sazi defeated Gostaresh Foolad 3-1 in Tabriz derby.
Farshad Ahmadzade and Luciano Edinho (twice) scored for Tractor Sazi and Jaber Ansari scored Gostareshs only goal.
Elsewhere, Saipa lost to Rah Ahan 2-1, Sepahan defeated Esteghlal of Khuzestan 3-2, Naft edged Padideh 1-0 and Naft Masjed Soleyman drew 1-1 with Zob Ahan of Isfahan.
