Flare of phase 18 platform a lights up

TEHRAN Oct 29 (Shana)--The flare of platform A in phase 18 of the South Pars gas field lit up after the third well of the phase came online.
Operator of development plan of phases 17&18 of South Pars Hasan Bovairi made the remarks, adding phase 18 will be able to produce maximum 12.5 million cubic meters of gas per day.

He noted that platform A has 11 wells, of which the third well became operational on Tuesday noting produced gaswill be transmitted to phases 15&16 gas processing plants for sweetening.

Under a premeditated plan, satellite platforms of phases 17&18 are scheduled to come online before the end of the first half of next Iranian calendar year to September 2015.

Development plan of phases 17&18 aims at production of 50 mcm/d of natural gas, 80 thousand barrels of gas condensate and 400 tons of sulfur. Production of one million tons of ethane and 1.05 million tons of liquid gas are the other target of development plan.

A consortium comprising Iranian companies is involved in development of the onshore and offshore sectors of the phases.

The companies are Industrial Development & Renovation Organization of Iran known as IDRO Group, Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company (IOEC), the National Iranian Oil Engineering Construction Company (NIOEC) and Sadra Company.
