Iran's Copper exports to hit $2bln in coming years

TEHRAN (FNA)- Managing Director of Iran's Copper Industries Company Ahmad Moradalizadeh said the country's copper exports would hit $2bln in coming years.


"We can raise copper production to 400,000 tons by 2019 and export the extra 20,000 tons," Moradalizadeh said, the Iranian students' news agency reported.

He further added that the country has increased copper extraction of mines up to 18 percent. "We have dramatically promoted our output comparing to last year. We will witness considerable growth in cooper extraction by the end of March 2015 in case we press ahead with the same level of production.
