Iranian social drama Hush! Girls Dont Scream has garnered award at the 2014 International Independent Film Awards (IIFA) in Los Angeles.Directed by Irans leading female director Pouran Derakhshandeh, the film won the Diamond Award of the festivals Narrative Feature section.
Diamond winning film is guaranteed a spot in the IIFA screening schedule in Los Angeles.
The film recently took Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress and Best Screenplay awards of the 2014 San Francisco Iranian Film Festival.
The film tells the story of abused children and ignorant families who do not make enough time in their day to listen and solve their children's issue.
Sponsored by Irans Farabi Cinematic Foundation, the film won Best Film Award at the 2012 Fajr International Film Festival.
The movie competed at the 2014 edition of Irvine International Film Festival (IIFF) in the United States.
