Veep urges use of tourism to develop regional peace

Tehran, Oct 14, IRNA – First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri on Tuesday urged use of tourism as a tool to develop peaceful relations among regional states.
He made the remarks in an International Conference on Sustainable Tourism.

Referring to the ongoing unrests in the neighboring countries, Jahangiri added that Iran is one of the most stable countries in the Middle East.

Regional nations have good potentials to increase bilateral cooperation in various fields including tourism, he noted.

Jahangiri added that Iran is ready to cooperate with regional states in a real campaign against extremism and terrorism.

Development of tourism among regional states is an effective tool for promotion of peace in the entire region, he said.
