Int’l Children and Young Adults Film Festival opens in Isfahan

Isfahan, Oct 3, IRNA – Opening ceremony of the 28th International Children and Young Adults Film Festival was held earlier Friday night here in the presence of 70 foreign guests and a group of Iranian cultural and cinematographer personalities.
The 1,000-seat Kowthar cinema hall of Isfahan was also witness to the presence of a number of artists and a large number of Isfahani children.

The four-day festival futures the Iranian and world children’s genre films in short sections and full length feature, animations, and short and long video production parts.

Works from 64 countries have been received by the organizers of the festival, 42 of which have been selected to compete in the event’s completion section.

In Iranian cinema section of the festival the jurors have chosen 13 of the 23 presented full length features for the competition section.

The Culture and Islamic Guidance Ministry has also arranged for the screening of a selection of the festival’s best works in 20 Iranian provinces this year.
