Davoud Ameri nabs top award at Chinese photo exhibition

Iranian photographer Davoud Ameri has garnered top award at the 6th C.P.N.O. International Exhibition of Photography held in Macau, China.
Ameri received the PSA (Photographic Society of America) gold medal in the Mono Digital Image Division of the competition.

Ameri, who is a war veteran, took the prize for an image depicting the graves of Iranian martyrs of the (1980-1988) Iran-Iraq war.

The image shows a cemetery located in the northern Iranian city of Gorgan, Golestan Province.

The event also honored several other Iranian artists with medals and honorable mentions in various sections.

Iranian artist Mojtaba Zeinalzadegan is among the winners who grabbed the FIAP Honorable Mention Ribbon of the Mono Digital section for his photo dubbedMorning Carol.
