Iranian athletes won another three gold medals today, October 2, in the 17th Asian Games now underway in Incheon, South Korea, with Hamideh Abbasali and Saeed Hosseinipour triumphing in Karate and Behnam Asbaghi in Taekwondo.
The Iranian caravan also snagged another two bronze medals today: Ehsan Rouzbehani in boxing and Sonia Gomari in canoeing.
The Iranian caravan now has a total of 18 gold medals, 11 silver and 15 bronze.
Hamideh Abbasali is the only Iranian woman to win a gold medal in karate in the Iranian caravan. Iran still ranks fifth in the medals chart, trailing Kazakhstan with 20 gold medals, 18 silver and 30 bonze.
