Takfiri terrorists operating in some Middle Eastern states cannot pose any security threat to Iran as the country’s Armed Forces are fully ready to counter all acts of aggression, a top Iranian commander says.
On Tuesday, Commander of the Iranian Army’s Ground Forces Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan hailed the security situation in Iran’s western and southern border areas and said the country’s armed forces were closely monitoring all regional threats against the Islamic Republic.
The Islamic establishment does not consider the terrorist groups wreaking havoc on some regional countries as a security threat against Iranian soil, said Pourdastan, adding, “We attach no significance to them.”
Iranian Armed Forces are fully prepared to nip all threats in the bud should such terror groups attempt to carry out any act of aggression against the Islamic Republic, added the top general.
The extremist militants from the ISIL terrorist group have large swathes of Syria’s northern territory under control. The group also sent its members into neighboring Iraq in June and captured large parts of land there.
The ISIL Takfiris have committed heinous crimes and threatened all communities, including Shias, Sunnis, Kurds, Christians during their advances in both neighboring Arab states.
