Anti-Daesh coalition without Iran doomed to failure: Rafsanjani

Tehran, Sept 28, IRNA – Chairman of Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said here on Sunday that the Americans have admitted that the coalition against the terrorist group Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also known as Daesh) will be defeated without Iran’s help.
Speaking in a local gathering, Hashemi Rafsanjani underscored that the anti-Daesh coalition would be definitely defeated.

Air attacks can not destroy a terrorist group, he said, stressing that as witnessed in recent days, Daesh terrorists have attacked Kobani on Turkish border.

The Western sources have reported that since the start of anti-Daesh attacks, over 235 new forces have joined the terrorist group, he said.
