Iran mulling FMˈs visit to Saudi Arabia: Dy FM

Tehran, Sept 21, IRNA – Iran is considering a visit to Saudi Arabia by Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian was quoted as saying on Sunday by spokesman of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, Hossein Naqavi Hosseini.
As Iran has not responded the last visit to Tehran by Saudi officials, Tehran is making preparations for Zarif’s visit to Riyadh, Amir-Abdollahian said.

Amir-Abdollahian who was making the remarks at Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission said that Iran and Saudi Arabia are two important countries in the region and should take steps towards reducing tension.

He said that the Saudi government has realized the threat of Daesh and is seeking to get rid of the threat.
