FM Deputy: Capital of Iranian expatriates amounts to $1000bn

Yazd, Sept 17, IRNA – Hassan Qashqavi, Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular, Parliamentary and Iranian Expatriates Affairs, put the capital of Iranians residing abroad at 800 to 1000 billion dollars.
He said Iranians have capitals in all world countries, adding that efforts should be made to attract their participation and investment inside Iran.

Speaking at a ceremony held for the opening of the representative office of the Foreign Ministry here on Tuesday, Qashqavi said half of the activities of the Foreign Ministry are focused on identification and attraction of these capitals for the development of country and offering services to the public.

He said attraction of the capitals of foreigners and Iranians interested in participation in the country’s economy should be taken seriously.

“We should all feel responsible in order to neutralize economic schemes of the enemies against the Islamic establishment, campaign against sanctions and implement the ‘resistant economy’ stressed by the Supreme Leader.”

He noted that officials of the executive system are bound to prepare proper grounds for the presence of investors and entrepreneurs in the fields of production, economy and employment.
