Tehran, Sept 13, IRNA � Foreign Ministry Deputy for Europe and America Affairs Majid Takht-e Ravanchi said substantial differences still remain with the group 5+1.
Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a ceremony to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Iran-Mexico relations here on Saturday, he said though differences with the 5+1 were quite serious, Iran will try to get to an agreement by November 25 if the other party proves its good will in talks.
Asked to comment how serious the differences between Iran and the 5+1 were in the nuclear talks, he said the two sides did not discuss the texts but the topics which would significantly affect the procedure of developing any agreement.

As the Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his deputy Seyyed Abbas Araqchi have noted, he added, the two sides failed to come any closer in views in the past two round of talks with differences on major issues still remaining.

Ravanchi, who is a member of Iran's nuclear negotiations team, noted that good will and sincerity are quite discernable on the part of Iran.

He also said Tehran was trying to come to an agreement by November 25.

However, he stressed, naturally enough Iran would never consent to that at any price or under every conditions.

The Foreign Ministry official underlined that Iran was committed to the principles it has always been advocating.

He further said there was no need for higher-level contacts between Iran and the 5+1 countries but noted that there will be meetings between the Iranian foreign minister and the head of the European Union negotiation team Catherine Ashton during their New York visit.
