Iran gas sale to Arab states to rise

TEHRAN, Sep. 07 (MNA) Iran and its Arab neighbors are consulting for purchasing the Islamic Republics natural gas.

Iran has one of largest gas reserves in the world and it still has huge potential for new significant gas discoveries.


The best way for Iran gas transfer is through pipelines to the neighboring countries.


While gas export accords with Turkey, Azerbaijan, Nakhchivan and Turkmenistan have already been implemented, new agreements with Pakistan, Iraq, Emirates, Kuwait, Oman and some European countries are in process of implementation.


Iran has signed gas export accords with Turkey, Azerbaijan,Nakhchivanand Turkmenistan; new agreements are to be considered yet with Pakistan, Iraq, UAE, Kuwait, Oman and European countries.


Once Turkey and Iraq issue permission for the Islamic Republic to build pipelines for gas export to Europe, Iran will export gas to the green continent.


Iran also considers Azerbaijan as a gas transfer route for Europe.


Also Persian Gulf Arab states are willing to buy Iran sour gas to generate electricity. Iran is the only gas owner in the region to secure required gas for Arab States.
