TEHRAN (Tasnim) A team of Iranian lawmakers is scheduled to visit UAE, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Kuwait in the coming weeks, an MP announced.

Speaking to the Tasnim News Agency on Monday, Rapporteur of the Iranian Parliaments National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Seyed Hossein Naqavi Hosseini said the visit will take place in the second half of September.

The most important purpose that members of our countrys parliamentary delegation pursue in the visit to those three neighboring countries is to ... expand diplomatic relations, particularly the parliamentary diplomacy, he explained.

The lawmakers will also hold meetings with high-ranking officials representing parliament of the three Arab countries, Naqavi Hosseini noted.

Irans parliament has in recent months intensified measures to strengthen ties with parliaments of the other countries, following President Hassan Rouhanis announcement that his administration will adopt the policy of constructive interaction with the world.
