Iranian childrens books to be displayed in Beijing, Moscow

A number of Iranian childrens books and e-books are slated to be offered at the two international exhibitions in China and Russia.
Some 40 books and e-books published by Irans Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA) will be displayed at the exhibitions.

The 21st Beijing international book exhibition will be held from August 27 to 31, while Moscow international book expo is to be mounted from September 3 through 8.

IIDCYA covers a wide range of cultural and artistic activities in the country such as releasing books, audio tapes, films and toys for Iranian kids.

Founded in 1961, the institute has branches all across the country and is known as the best source of cultural and instructional products by educational centers and families.

The IIDCYA also organizes festivals, discussion panels, competitions and various conferences addressing children, and adults who want to improve their understanding of their children.

Divergent Iranian children books have attended many International exhibitions so far.

The children's literature in Iran has a very old history which dates back to more than 3000 years ago, when the first Persian families narrated rich oral literature through lullabies, folktales, rhythmic fables.
