Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan[/caption]TEHRAN, Aug. 23 (MNA) Irans defense minister has issued a message on the occasion of National Day of Defense Industries.
The defense ministry has taken important steps in terms of structure and content to increase dynamism in defense industry through an accurate understanding of the environmental threats, reads the message by Hossein Dehqan.
The defense industry is pivotal for countrys national security which contributes to deterrence, protecting territorial integrity, and all-out independence in line with changes over time in defensive and military fields, reads part of the message.
As a valuable asset, experience and lessons learned during the Sacred Defense (Iraq war), along with accurate and smart evaluation of technological changes in the security and defense industries, have helped the industry meet all needs of armed forces in response to asymmetrical threats, adds the statement.
The ministry of defense has always exploited all possible opportunities in terms of strategic and operational plans in research, design, and development of hardware and software to provide necessary logistical support for the armed forces, and has played a significant part in national development, the statement reads.
