Oil Minister: Persian Gulf Refinery to solve countryˈs fuel problem

Bandar Abbas, Hormozgan province, Aug 22, IRNA – Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh said an under construction refinery will solve the problems of countryˈs gasoline and diesel oil in quantity and quality.
Zanganeh, in a gathering here on Thursday evening, said that the refinery will be one of the most important projects in oil industry.

He said 75 percent of the construction work of the refinery has been completed, adding that the the gasoline and diesel oil produced in it will be of euro 5 standard.

He noted that the first phase of the refinery, with production capacity of 120,000 barrel of gas condensate, will be commissioned in the first half of the next Iranian year.

Zanganeh continued that the total capacity of the refinery will be 360,000 barrel per day.
