IKCO production ups by 160%

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian largest state-run car manufacturer (IKCO) production indicates 160% growth in the past four months of Iranian calendar year (started on March 21) comparing to the similar period last year.
The fulfillment of the company's new plans has resulted in this production boost which totals 173,089 sets of cars in the period.

The production reached 66,775 sets in the first quartet of last Iranian calendar year, started on March 21, 2012.

53,077 sets of passenger cars were produced in the past month, which itself registers 125% growth with regard to that of last year i.e. 23,571 sets.

The IKCO manufactures 2300 sets of vehicles on a daily basis and is determined to release 600 thousand sets of vehicles by the end of the Iranian calendar year.
