Quake jolts Kohstak in Hormuzgan province

Tehran, July 26, IRNA – An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale jolted vicinity of Kohstak in Hormuzgan province on Saturday morning.
 According to a report by seismography center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 15: 18 hours local time (10:48 GMT) and its epicenter was at 26.72 degrees latitude and 75.19 degrees longitude.

There is no immediate report on possible casualties or damage.

Iran sits on several major faultlines in the earthˈs crust, and is prone to frequent earthquakes, many of which have been devastating.
