Iran committed to interim nuclear deal: Obama

Iran committed to interim nuclear deal: Obama
US President Barack Obama says Iran has shown commitment to the interim nuclear deal with the Sextet of world powers.
"It's clear to me that we have made real progress in several areas and that we have a credible way forward, Obama said at a press conference in the Brady Press Briefing Room at the White House on Wednesday.
The US president implied that the talk might continue beyond a July 20 deadline under the interim deal, saying that there was more work to do."
"So over the next few days, we'll continue consulting with Congress, and our team will continue discussions with Iran and our partners as we determine whether additional time is necessary to extend our negotiations."
Meanwhile, nuclear talks continued between negotiators from Iran and the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council - China, Russia, Britain, France and the United States - plus Germany in the Austrian capital Vienna.

Iran and P5+1 clinched a landmark interim deal in Geneva on November 24, 2013.

Under the deal, dubbed the Geneva Joint Plan of Action, the six countries undertook to provide Iran with some sanctions relief in exchange for Iran agreeing to limit certain aspects of its nuclear activities during a six-month period. It was also agreed that no nuclear-related sanctions will be imposed on Iran within the same timeframe. The agreement took effect on January 20.
