Health ministry: Israel using banned ammo against Palestinians
TEHRAN (FNA)- Palestinian Deputy Health Minister Yusuf Abu Rish warned of the dire health conditions in Gaza hospitals, and expressed concern that the Israeli forces are using internationally-banned ammunition against the Palestinians.
"The medical teams active in Shafa hospital in Gaza have found some injuries in the bodies of the wounded and the martyred Palestinians inflicted by the internationally-banned munitions fired in the attacks by the Zionist regime fighter jets," Abu Rish said in a press conference on Sunday.

He said many of the injured Gazans have sustained some deep wounds which have crippled them and made them need long-term treatment.

Abu Rish said that the Zionist regime's aggression against the Palestinian health centers and using internationally-banned ammo against the defenseless Gaza people are blatant instances of the violation of human rights and the international rules and laws.

On July 6, Abu Rish also warned against a crisis that may hit the health sector in Gaza as a result of the blockade imposed on the region by Israel.

He reiterated shocking figures about the medicine stocks available at the ministry warehouses, saying, Approximately 25% of the essential medicines and 52% of the medical disposables completely run out.

Speaking of the fuel crisis witnessed in the hospitals, Abu Rish said, 50% of the ambulances stopped working as a result of the lack of fuel, which further aggravated the hospitals operation.

Israel has been pounding the blockaded Gaza for six consecutive days, killing at least 163 people and injuring more than 1,100 others.
