Tehran July 2 (Shana)Topsides B and C destined for Phase 12 of South Pars gas field in southern Iran have been lifted for delivery.The lifting is regarded as a big step towards bringing Phase 12 which is the biggest in the South Pars closer to the final stages of its completion.
Once topsides A, B and C of Phase 12 are installed and start production, nearly 65 mcm will be added to Irans gas output. Oil industry authorities believe when this phase which will have a capacity equivalent to those of three other standard phases of South Pars becomes operational, the field will witness growth in production after 8 years.
The project manager of the platforms has told Shana earlier that the platforms will become operational early in December.
