TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli appointed Commander of the Iranian Border Guards Units General Hossein Zolfaqari as his new deputy for security and law enforcement affairs.
In a decree on Sunday, Rahmani Fazli underlined General Zolfaqari's efficiency and long experience in maintaining the country's security, and said he expected his new deputy to make efforts to maintain and establish order and general security across the country, identify chances and threats in this area, develop and improve sustainable security at borders and organize the affairs related to the foreign nationals and immigrants.
He also wished success for General Zolfaqari in his new post.
General Zolfaqari will replace Ali Abdollahi, the former deputy interior minister for security and law enforcement affairs.
