Zarif: Iran has active human rights record

Tehran, June 24, IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said Iran has played active role in international human rights activities.
He made the remarks here Tuesday while talking to reporters on the sideline of a meeting of the human rights headquarters of the Iranian Judiciary.

Zarif noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran, as a country which relies on the Islamic teachings, is sensitive to both the civilian rights of its own people and human rights as an international issue.

He believed Iran is quite active in human rights arena in the world.

The foreign minister further stressed the need to response to the Westˈs human rights fabrications spread against Iran.
