Iranian short film Pomegranate Is a Heavenly Fruit is slated to contend for awards at the 2014 Seoul International Youth Film Festival in South Korea.
Directed by Teymour Qaderi, the film will be screened at the International Competition section of the festival.

The 15-minutes short film is about a little girl whose parents prohibit her from going to school.

The film has been displayed in a number of international events and won several awards.

Qaderi's creation received the best children film award at the fourth Suleymaniye Kurdish Film Festival.

Pomegranate Is a Heavenly Fruit was also presented at the 2014 edition of Geneva International Oriental Film Festival in Switzerland.

Seoul International Youth Film Festival is held to provide a venue for youths to share their culture via films and media education.

The 16th edition of the international festival is scheduled to take place from August 22 through 29, 2014, with the motto of �Cinema Paradise for Youth.�
